    Old school at the club

So I go to a fundraiser at the old theatre which was turned into a club in the 70's and find that these cabs surround the dance floor. No longer in use, and some are unloaded. 4560's on top, what are the bottom cabs called again? (besides big). Can't remember. They have 4-5 of the big ones, couple of 4560's. Name: ot 1.jpg

Sorry, just realized photos are sideways. This system is not in use; they have some other 90's era off brand large PA in use now. Name: ot2.jpg

The one with protruding lips looks like an RCA "Ubangi", I can't remember the model number. If its not been modified it should be a full seven feet long with full height vents in both ends similar to the JBL 4550.

I have one of these and have looked long for another, what's to become of these?
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

Sure. I would hate to hear they went in a dumpster.

Having just bought 10 4550's I need more big black boxes like I need another hole in my head but,,, yeah.

    Thank you Mike.

    All the best.

The logical thing would be to present them with removing the whole setup.

I don't know how one goes about that. Have you an idea of what the investment would be? Is there anything in that pile of stuff that is of any value to you?

I meant interest you in anyway. Could you make a buck on any of it? Just curious, what else is in there?

If you get anymore information and it seems possible to get it out of there, I'm interested.

    Thank you.
    Barry.

    15" horns

    Mike,

If There is a pair of horn loaded cabs for 15" driver I might be interested. Don't need the larger ones, hoping for something smallish that horn loads down to 80hz or lower!

    Regards, Ron

    PS: call me sometime....!

What smallish cab horn loads down to 80, esp. in a front loaded horn? The only thing they have else is those 4560's. They ain't small and the are fully horn loaded at 200 and drop off quickly in the 100's.

Well, well, well. It gets more interesting. Some photos coming. Also, the gent told me that 7 years ago a guy came and bought all the "old RCA speakers whch were in storage, and RCA amps in the projection room, and there was some REALLY old stuff up in the attic that he bought. He scrounged everything, and paid me $7000. He was building a new theatre from the ground up in Ohio, name was Wilson". Wonder what all he found.
