    Unhappy WARNING!!! scam alert !!

Just a quick warning to anyone considering purchasing e-bay items from Phil Mundi / "Horn-Academy". Phil Mundi aka:horn-acadamy is a THIEF!! I was scammed by this fraudster on e-bay for a $380 Vitavox horn that he never sent. But how do you bust a guy or get your money back from a guy living in another country ?! any suggestions welcomed

Phil Mundi copy/pasted his measurement graphs directly from the Arai geocities website, and cut his "Iwata" horn profiles directly in IKEA wood plates...
    He is clearly a Thief...

On the defense of that dude, doesn't everyone use plans available off the internet? I think that Mr Mundi never hid that he was using existing plans. For using Ikea salad bowls, I don't think it is dishonest either. I thought about doing it myself. As for the OP calling mr Mundi a thief, I suggest he starts by laying events and facts, and let us know what steps he took. It is too easy to destroy somebody's reputation out of a misunderstanding.

So, mr OP. My suggestion is to present yourself (it is your first post ever, right?), explain clearly the chain of events and what you did to try correcting this situation. Then we will conclude if indeed Mundi is a thief or not. I see so many people expecting parts the day after they paid while it takes two months shipping by surface...

@POS . It requires to sign-in to view the post on CINETSON. So thanks, but no thanks. Perhaps you can copy and paste the meat of the story. ;-)

No Lee, look at the link above: Phil Mundi is not using Arai's plan, he is using Arai's measurement graphs, and he is relying on IKEA plate curves for his "Iwata" profile...

I don't think it behooves us to play judge or jury, even if we could know all the facts. I will take this information, like all information gleaned from the Internet, with a sack of salt. I wouldn't be buying anything from him anyway

Cheaper than a ten dollar waveguide?

I wonder if IKEA is going to get slammed with bowl orders like JBL got slammed with waveguide orders.

    I am curious.

When were the parts paid? What were the steps from the buyer to enquire about shipment? What were the seller's replies?
