    Any thoughts on L220?

    Anybody has listened these speakers?

How's the difference between L200/L300 and them?

How do you compare them to L150?

    Ad nauseum.

The L220 is better balanced but the L300 has better dynamics.

    The L150 is better balanced.

    Thanks.

Which of them do u recommend for Jazz with Mcintosh pre/amp?

BTW, L300 is out of my range. So, among L150, L200, and L220.

If possible, A/B the L150 and the L220 and see which you prefer. I personally wouldn't bother with the L200 unless there was a very specific reason.

Thanks. What is the main difference between L220 and L150?

    Sorry about the newbie questions.

    L150

Don has yet to post the L150A that I submitted but here's the L112 which is the L150A without the passive radiator and the bigger enclosure

    L112

    L220

I also submitted an L220A brochure that should be posted sometime.

    L222

Comparing the L220 to the L150 or L150A, the L220 uses a better midrange. The edge wound LE5-9 verses the round voice coil LE5-10. The L220 uses a better tweeter, the 076 verses 033 or 044. And I prefer the LE14 (A or H) over the 128H. And I think the L220 use better crossovers then either of the L150 models.

I haven’t heard L150As but I do have some L112s and, in my opinion, it’s not even close. The L220 is the superior speaker. The L220 is one of my favorite speaker systems. I have owned L220s for a quarter century so I may not be completely impartial

How much is the average price of L220 now?

$1200 for them in good condition(a few scratches, but all drivers work perfectly) sounds reasonable?

What else do you recommend for that price range with MC2100/C28 combo?

I don't really stick with JBL... and tannoy, Altec, Paragon sound good to me, too.

I would agree that it is the best of the L65 variants.

First time I ever heard the Telarc Firebird was on a pair of L220's. What an ear opener that was. Never forget how good it sounded. Nice speakers!!

    L222 Discos is "Hotter!"

Actually, I don't know the difference, if any. Something about the tuning, if I recall. Somebody here knows, I betcha....

The tunning on the passive radiator is the difference. You adjust the weights on the PR.
