help with some different jbl cabs that i found k120, 2402, 2441

hi ive just purchased these cabinets and need some help on how to rewire them/power them

one cab has 2 k120, 2 2402 tweeters and a 2440 and the other has a k120 a 2202, 2441 and 2 2402

i am either going to bi or tri amp them depending on the suggestions here

im thinking bi amping would be easier and cut out an amp and just have an internal crossover for the horn and tweeters

wondering too if someone could tell me what the white thing is that the 2441/2440 have been wired through is

also what frequencies should each of these be set to ive got a pair of dual 2241 i want to put these ontop of

Interesting speakers!

The 2402 to down to 2,5 kHz. You can cut between the 2441 and the tweeters beteen 2,5 and 7 kHz. The higher the more power they will handle.

How low the horn for the 2441 goes is hard to tell, but 1 kHz is probably safe.

How low the k120 goes in these horns is very difficult to tell. They will probably not reach 1 kHz however.

Simplest would be to measure each driver seaparately in the box to know where to cross them.

You will have to check the diaphragms of the 2402 and the 2441.

how would i go about measuring the individual drivers ??

also any idea what the big white thing is in the photo is its been wired inline with the 2441/2440

umic-1, arta or holmimpulse. Holmimpulse is not so intuitive. I have not tried arta. I believe you have some learning to do, google is your friend :-)

The white thing I believe is a capacitor. Any print on it?
