    Slxrti,

You might try the search function for some useful information...there have been a number of threads on this topic.

It comes down to materials and the way the capacitor is made however.

However I am sure in some instances if blind tests were done some would swear two identical capacitors sound different. If the original signal is dirty enough the effect of different capacitors can be more noticable because more / or less odd harmonic distortions sensitive to the ear are easily resolved.

Give it a day or two , this topic always attracts those trolling through the forums looking to place an opinion.

Actually I’m interested in the relationship between quantifiable measurements and what

    we hear.

Thats a tough one and this is why so much snake oil is using in the marketing of expensive capacitors.

    Hi

This is a very interesting topic and a lot has been written on it. A good starting point is articles written by Walter Jung and Richard March in Feb & March 1980 Audio Magazine. You will find a reprint at http://www.capacitors.com/picking_ca...rs/pickcap.htm
