    Thank you for that.

The Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated...

With a current list price of $3570 ea. the TD-4003 may be dead to most of us, but it is still available from TAD and has not been discontinued. They even have some currently in stock which is unusual but may be related to the new list price.

The TD-4002 which was used in their theater speakers and was their lowest priced 4" diaphragmed driver has been discontinued.

    Buying TD-2002s

Anybody know where I can buy TD-2002s? I had them on order a few months ago at a place that went bankrupt (I did get my deposit back), then I ordered from e-speakers but now they no longer carry them. Can I order right from TAD?

    To clarify.

    JBL Pro sells loudspeaker components.

JBL Car and Marine Audio sells loudspeaker components.

JBL Consumer, now split in half and known as Harman Lifestyle Audio and Harman Luxury Audio Group, has no real mechanism to sell components as they are not in the loudspeaker component business. In fact, they source virtually all of their transducers. One hundred percent of them. JBL Consumer has no mechanism to manufacture their own transducers. One of their approved manufacturers/vendors happens to be Harman Audio de Mexico, formerly JBL Professional Manufacturing of Northridge, CA.

At one time there was talk about selling the 1500AL, 435Be and 045Be as loudspeaker components in Japan. That never materialized. The 1500AL even had its very own over the counter pretty print box courtesy of JBL Professional Manufacturing.
