    LF cabinets for Altec 515B

I'm using A5 system including 311-90 and 288B for HF and 515B for LF, and have a spare pair of 515B drivers for which I plan to build cabinets to handle 100hz and below frequency range. Can you all please kindly recommend me which cabinets I should build for these 515Bs?

Are those the M9500 crossovers you are using for that system?

You would want to use the Altec 620 volume and tuning.

I have a similar problem and have looked at this:

There's a sketch of it here, I think...

If your 825/828 cabinets are properly braced and damped, you should have pretty good response down to 40-45Hz. 515s won't really get you any deeper unless you use a whole bunch of them. Since you have 4 of them one thought would be an A2 system with 210 or 211 cabinets with 2 515s in each, but even those won't give you the really deep bottom.

Otherwise, you might consider different drivers in some good sub-woofer design for the <40Hz region.

Many thanks, all for your replies.

I'm using M9500 now and will receive N-500Fs around end of this month.

Frankly, I'm listening to jazz vocals and quite ok with the current system but as I have a spare pair of 515Bs, I just want to make best use of it. My idea is to build another cabinets for these 515Bs and then use a separate amplifier to drive them so that I can have better control over the bottom.
