    Plugging Ports on 4639

Would I gain anything by plugging the ports on my 4639's? They are in a 3000 cu. ft. dedicated theater. I also have a DTS-10, 5749 and TD-18 to cover the low end up to 120hz.

Since no one who is knowledgeable about those particular speakers has answered, I'll give it a go. Plugging the ports will reduce the bass extension (increase the lower -3dB point etc.), and in some cases give somewhat "tighter" bass. Having said that, a ported enclosure need not have flabby bass, although many do. What kind of change are you looking for?
