    Another homage to Northridge.

Just completed my latest project consisting of ME150H/H9800/2452/Be wrapped in a K2 9800 inspired enclosure.

I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions ( considering all the stuff that you currently own & can use in comparisons ) .

Thanks Guido, possibly the most tuneful bass driver I've heard, very articulate, fast, I suppose the audiophile description would be 'musical', the lower midrange is excellent too with lots of detail. What I don't understand is why it hardly ever gets a mention in the pantheon of great JBL bass drivers.

Very nice... can you describe the bit on the top? decorative, functional, contoured grille
temporarily set on top...? I would expect a lot of potential from those elements and cabinet
    construction

Mainly decorative. The top and front are covered in leather, the curves repeat the 40" radius
of the horn mouth but there is enough depth to the top slope and in the horn dog box to rebate
for a super tweeter if need be.

We hear about 1500/1501 FE/AL drivers but the ME150 seems to be light on opinions from forum members!

Thanks for all the nice comments, I went for the leather look after way too many attempts to get an even, blemish, flat spot, ripple free surface in the mdf proved unsuccessful, I just wish I hadn't wasted a week's hard graft getting to it

During the months I spent trying to get the 1501FE drivers, I ordered the only ME150H shown to be in stock. It was the woofer for the 4344MKII if I recall, and it was of course destroyed in shipping. I sent it back, but I still have the pics I took to forward to Harman documenting the damage. So between not having any, not really wanting to sell them to the public anyway, and destroying what they do have due to laughable packaging for shipment, it's not really any surprise to me why we don't hear more about them. I'm way more surprised we ever do hear about them.

And damn fine work on those speakers, cooky. I think the leather looks amazing and gives the cabinets a real "custom top shelf" look.
