I used one in non-bridged mode with my 4341s for quite a while.
Zilch and friends here helped me learn how to get a biamp system going -
originally my system was driven off a JBL/UREI M552 crossover.
I used the 6260 just for the woofers (2235s), and had a 6230 for the upper 3 drivers -
back then, nearly the whole room was JBL or JBL/UREI gear.

A bit later, I got an Ashley XR1001 active crossover, like you see in this photo (Sept 2008).
The JBLs amps were fine - no complaints - but I never bridged them.

Later on, I sold off the UREI amps and got a pair of Adcom GFA-555s.

I have a 6260 and it's seen most use in bridged mode for subwoofer use.

As crazy as it sounds, I'm currently using it bridged to drive a University 315 in a K15 cab in my mono system. I usually run some tube mono amp for that set-up but thought I would try out the 6260 just to see how it would fare. Surprisingly well as it turns out. I have the gain backed off a bit and it sounds quite good using a passive preamp and the 315.

I haven't really sat down and A/B'ed it with other amp I own to make comparisons, but based on that, I would say that the 6260 (if running correctly) may surprise you as to how it sounds.

My 6260 is quiet as a church mouse run in either stereo or mono.

    Thanks for sharing!

Presume that there will be better damping for the woofer after bridged, my pairs are fine and no noisy at the momment.

Very informative....I just bridged, you guess ..it just solid, no more muddy bass...
