Looking for best horn tweeter for 4-way setup

    Hello dear community

just finishing build my 4-way system
and now looking for right (probably best if it didn’t cost like car)

    active filters

    sub 30-70hz B&C 15ps100 in TL (labyrinth)
Midbass 70-500hz Beyma 10g40(ported) insane driver best punch i ever get.
Radian 950pb + E-jmlc 300 the midrange is just excellent
Fountek cd 3.5h (already sold them) Clear very detailed sound but too light as i can hear

For sub and mid there are 2 lme49830 with 2sk1530 2sj201 output
for midrange and tweeter - zen4 - with pure film output capacitor

8 channel stepped relay attenuator with additional control of each 2 channels

    so searching for the tweeter

what i used before in this system

Cd 3.5 ribbon in horn (plays everything but horn midrange had other character )
Beyma cf21f slot tweeter (to harsh sound but i like it more now)
Selenium st324 slot tweeter(very smooth but sometimes it seems tweeter does nothing )

    what I’m looking on now

    newcomer Faital super tweeter
    http://www.faitalpro.com/products/sc...p?id=502010090
like old jbl 075 077 ring radiator but..... not metal diaphragm and impedance is much better then beyma cp21f
dispersion bad because on bullet horn...

jbl clone BMS 4540 with horn(looked on e-jmlc 2000 but it not so smooth and drops down at high)

B&C de7(1 inch voice coil + 0.75 throat) + e-jmlc 1400 (more smooth but drops at high too and don’t really sure about sound quality)

Find old 077... in good shape but... it is hard and maybe they are much like beyma cp21f

and one more budget P-audio pht-409 smooth but don’t sure about dispersion

    any other suggestions are welcome

there are here so much people with unbeliveble expirience ... so i hope to find the good choice

    your work is nice!

with respect to active filters, Marchand will build you most anything you want --
and I have heard good things about their products/commitment to service...

although, to be candid, I have no firsthand experience with them

there may be folks here on this very board that can help also...

    good luck!

. You are never going to get it to sum properly through the crossover point no mater where you put it.
cant agree with that with fir filtering(very high order more the 8th) and digital delay i can sum them wherever i want....
and i can eq it how i want and dont make any changes to phase.
with filtering thre is almost no point where drivers works together.

FIR breakwall filters will be of no help there: the phase might measure flat through the crossover when measured exactly after having properly configured the delay, but move you mic 5cm and measure again...

That would be subjective for sure. Looks kind of like a washer and dryer!
    Always fun learning more.......

Cost is a poor measure of quality. In the world of high end audio there is no end to how much people may pay for some of the silliest things out there.

Gorgeous woodwork & a very cool modular concept!
but - I have to say, the horn looks like something from early marcel duchamp ...
(said playfully, no harm intended) ...
2ch: WiiM Pro; Topping E30 II DAC; Oppo, Acurus RL-11, Acurus A200, JBL Dynamics Project - Offline: L212-TwinStack, VonSchweikert VR-4
    7: TIVO, Oppo BDP103D, B&K, 2pr UREI 809A, TF600, JBL B460

    tweeter

Maybe some Fostex tweeters like T900a or better T500aMKII or if you are on the budget T90a
    I have T90a which replace JBL 2405H.

Listend to Fostex t925a with 5k crossover point sound bad, much more bad then even budget pht-409
and of coure fostex as for me has only disadvantage
high co point . poor directivity. metal diaphragm
