    JBL 4430 Amp Help.

I recently acquired a pr of 4430 monitors and tried to bi-amp with Bel Canto SET 40, Dynaco ST 400, BBE Xover and First Sound Dual Preamp. Could not make it close to the passives and have pretty well abandoned that idea. Would like to preserve the sweet tube sound, but gain a strong LF boost. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd make sure the BBE unit can operate with the same crossover curves
that JBL made available for the 5234/5 electronic crossovers. I'm sure
    they're posted here somewhere.

Then I'd find a -good- equalizer to do the tone control/room eq thing.

Thanks Grumpy. I will see what I can find about the BBE. I am not terribly technical but love these speakers and want them to sound their best.
