Looking for a safe way to remove felt glue from L89 lenses

    Hi:
I have a HL89 horn/lens combo with some cosmetic damage to the top lens plate. I was thinking of swapping the top two plates, but would need to get the felt glue off the lower plate without damaging the gold anodize. Has anyone in the forum had success doing this and can pass on their wisdom?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bob

anhydrous alcohol - keep the edge saturated while pulling carefully.
