Thickness of top plate is about 7mm (0.275 inch).
Thickness of magnet is about 20mm (0.787 inch), diameter
    is about 160mm (6.3 inch).
There is no stamp on the cone.

Earl, hope this will help a little.

    Yes Earl,

There is a thick black painting on the backside of the cone.
Cone is very hard (stiff ?).

Weight of driver is 5.9 kg. Overall diameter is 31.5cm (12.4 inch).
Height is 12.5cm (4.9 inch). Height of magnet motor is 48mm
(1.89 inch). Venting Hole dia is 28mm (1.1 inch).
    Surround is 1.4cm ( 0.55 inch) wide.
There is also a good network in the L90.
Okay, thats all. Put the driver back in the enclosure now.

    Regards
    Eckhard

    Yes, interesting. Thanks.

Does one LE120H have a foilcal on back while the other doesn't?

The L90 looks pretty interesting as well.

Yeah, I'm kinda drawn to them, too. Thus my inquiry about them in an earlier thread.

Nice size and compact layout, true "bookshelf" configuration with them cutesie feetsies there, they'd work real nicely with my TV here....

How come EX-US gets all the COOL stuff?

    Foilcal ?

Giskard, there is only a paperlabel on the back and the basket
is not that of the earlier massive constructions (cost?).
But any HiFi magazines like this bass driver (me too !).
Bass is "dry" and comes with a punch (not boom).
The front of the enclosure is very thick (TI 5000) and its well
    braced (?) innerside.
The network is made of good highclass components.
But you can upgrade it. Cost of this pair was 3000 DM (1700 USD).
Cost of the bass driver was about 550 DM (305 USD Harman Deutschland ).
Does anybody knows about the label on "next 3" ?

    Hi Eckhard,
    - ,,,, - and the basket is not that of the earlier massive constructions (cost?).
    What do you mean ?

    (a) Do your 2 , LE120H woofers have different weight (construction) speaker baskets ?

    or

    (b) Are you commenting that the LE120 baskets' frame is not as heavily built as older JBL woofers that you've seen ?

    Your "Next 3" Picture ; 35E - JBE

    - that product code doesn't mean anything to me .

    Basket

    Hi Earl,

Both drivers have the same weight, so the answer is (b).

    Re: LE120H

The engineer who designed the LE120H transducers is no longer with JBL and he never did any of the requisite paperwork, hence, nothing to post regarding TS parameters or response curves. Enclosure volume and tuning would be similar to the 128H-1.
