Hi Forum Friends,

My first cousin owns and operates the famous Gramaphone Records (since 1969) in Chicago on North Clark St.

He worked there for over a decade to pay the bills while DJ'ing around the Midwest. When the original owner was ready to call it quits, my cousin mortgaged his life and bought the store with the vision of taking sales online, growing the business, and selling his passion--rare and indy recordings, mostly vinyl but digital as well.

The recent recession was a major blow to his plans but they were able to just keep it going, eating lots of ramen noodles They're one of a dying breed of independent record stores with a single owner/operator. If you have an interest in this type of material, pls take a look!

Much appreciated,
Tony (JBLAddict)
