Lightbulb what to do with a single 604E. Floor wedge maybe?

    Hey all,

I have a single 604E and would like to use it before I talk myself into selling it.

I know it's been done before, I've seen pictures. However, I can't seem to find any specs. or build plans to construct a stage monitor for a 604. Is this a real bad idea or what? I can't afford to buy a second 604E to use as studio monitors and I'm tired of seeing this thing just sitting on a shelf collecting dust.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

In a floor wedge?? Really bad idea. One dropped microphone of feedback and it's toast. Simply not made for that kind of possible abuse.

Sell it, center channel or mono rig.

Altec made several wedges with the 604 IIRC.This one used the 604-8K. I'm not sure about the 604E though. The model number of this is the 938-8AE...

Personally though it is a waste of a 604 IMHO. If you can't afford a second consider selling it and with the proceeds buy a nice set of 2 or 3 ways.
