when did jbl merge with selenium? see www.jblselenium.com

Has anyone heard of JBL or Harman merging with (or buying) the Brazilian Selenium loudspeaker company.
I visited my local JBL Pro-sound distributor to discuss purchasing some raw drivers, and he mentioned they were now importing JBLSELENIUM units. I googled and found the following webpage:
    http://www.jblselenium.com/

For all appearances, the webpage looks legitimate, and has the JBL Selenium ( by Harman) logo's splashed all over the place.

did I miss the announcement of the merger?

Every Selenium sold is profit for the company... why wouldn't they want them sold in every country of the world?

I just assumed Harman would use their excellent merchandising strategy for Selenium that's been so successful for JBL.

I suppose it is possible that somewhere in the aquisition it stated that Harman wasn't allowed to totally eff up Selenium.

    Good luck with that!

Cheap labor, lax business laws, non-existent environmental legislation -- sounds like corporate heaven!

Yep, they can roll in their own filth all they want.

One thing is certain, we'll exploit the everloving hell out of that fact.
