I am rebuilding some cabinets that had the decals sanded off. Are there any sources for the old decals or recommendations on making them?
Thank you,
Steve

That's not good you are not going to find replacements anytime soon if ever.

I bought a few sheets of print-it-yourself water slide decal paper to recreate some lettering on a tube amp. Like this:

It worked great.
I have extra, and can try the process on a cabinet. Does anyone have a decent image or close up picture of the signature decal?
Hi John, how do you control the carrier... i.e., if you have a logo made up of separate letters a professional decal will have a clear carrier behind all of them to hold them in place. Do you just have a sheet of clear that you manually have to trim, or can you create art to control the size and shape of the carrier?

I had my daughters do some artwork and printed up a few samples.
The gold color did not work, the ink is translucent and the gold didn't show up on the wood at all. I think there are other printers (Alps) that allow you to print more opaque colors, but I don't have access to one.
The black came out a little better.
I think they would work best on a thicker type of finish, rather than oiled walnut. The decals are a little different "texture". The best method would be to add the decal after the first coat and then add one or two over the top.
Here is one I made and applied to cherry.
You could also ask Rudy if he can make them for you as well.He does very nice work.Made me some new decals for some horns.on eBay his moniker is the "Sign-Shop"
