Question Old 815 field coil cone is torn neatly all around

Can i use Weldwood contact cement and simply glue the 815 field coil speaker cone? It is torn neatly all around, near the surround; likely due to a blown cap. Or do i need a recone kit or repair shop referral?

Similar situation here with my Lansing Salon made june 1942

Steve Schell has a photo of the cab with the Dynaco stereo 70 on top. a cap blew and tore the cone surround.
