    Replacing 044Ti's with - Something. 035Ts, 052's....

So I tried to repair one of my 044Ti's, as chronicled here: http://mail.audiokarma.org/forums/sh...ighlight=044ti

Didn't work out for me, so now I'm scouring the web trying to figure my options. I'd like to get a pair of new 035TiA's (have a pair on order) and bolt them to the rear-mount 044Ti housings. has anyone done this, or a similar fix?

If I can't get hold of 035Ti's, how do the 052Ti's compare spec & performance-wise? Thanks for any information.

The diaphrams for the 035's are attached to the plastic faceplate. They are not attached to the magnet assembly as a seperate phenoic part as in the 044Ti. You can't just swap things out using an 044 body with an 035 magnet and diaphram.

They are the recommended replacement for the 035's.

    Thanks much

for the offer, Edgewound - I think I'll take you up on it! Just one is buzzing presently, I can ship to you at the end of the week.

If you can't get it 'singing' again... I just need it back. 052Ti's are coming in and I'll rig something up.
