    JBL 4560 empty

Hi, I purchased a pair of JBL 4560 empty and now I'm restoring and looking for the loudspeakers.
I have a pair of unused Klipsch K401 horns and I'd like to know if It would be a good compromise with a pair of JBL 2425J compression drivers and if I need of a tweeter because I don't know if the midhigh arrive to 20KHz. What is the best woofer? JBL 2225, 2226, E130, E145...? And the right JBL crossover?
    Thanks for your aid

    Hi Guiseppe!

    2225 are fine for 4560 enclosure.Just take a look at this.http://www.lansingheritage.org/image...pro/page13.jpg.

As for the 2425 they worked nicely with 2345 horns in this configuration. You have to find a pair of 3110 X-overs (Or built 800HZ X-overs) to do the work.

But don't forget that 4560 were built as auditorium sound renforcement systems. You can't expect low bass from these ones.

    Thanks for your reply Bert,
I have a pair of Klipsch K401 horn, do you know if they are (with an adapter) good for the JBL 2425J?

    I don't know.I never listened to K401 horns.

I used 2425 with a lot of horns.Best used with jbl 2370 horn or similar.

Just find a pair of adaptaters and listen and measure the K401.

I had an idea... to built a wood horn. I founded a plan, but I would like to built the sidewalls right, there is a curvature in the original, let me know
