    L300 Speaker wire size

    this quetion has probably been asked a 1000x but I searched the forum and couldn't find the answer.

    I bought my first pair of JBL's - L300's on ebay. they are enroute..........

    I want to buy a high quality speaker cable but could not figure out what size fits in the push button connector.

    I downloaded the brochure and manual but didn't see recommended info on wire size or if you can use some type of connector.

    Any advice would be appreciated....

    I have a couple pairs of large JBLs and didn't like the original connectors.
    I have changed them over to 5 way binding posts from Parts Express.
    This gives me a lot more freedom with wire sizes -
    I use banana connectors on the ends of the cables.

    A found a picture of the panel I made for the back of my original L200s in '2006 ..
    Small piece of thin plywood drilled and color-coded for + and - polarity.

    The L200s were 2 ways - woofer and (short) horn midrange, and I set them up with an external crossover - so the upper pair fed the horn tweeter, the lower pair fed the woofer. I had another box on top for the slot tweeter, so they were like DIY L300s. I saved the original panel for any would be collectors.

    nice pic, that makes sense....I guess I will keep the original crossover but I like the idea of jut making a new panel and keep the old one.

    I'm just getting into this hobby so I really appreciate the ideas and attention.

    This 10 AWG wire is available in different lengths but won't fit anything but the 5 ways Heather mentioned without using something like these;

    I use dual banana plugs on both amp and speaker ends and the pins where needed.
