    Recapping L250s - Need Schematic

Anyone done it? Does anyone have the schematic? I have only the L250Ti schematic. I haven't found the L250 schematic anywhere. (I know I can pull the crossover boards and read the values off, but I also would like the schematic itself.)

Also, if I ever swapped out the mids and tweeters to match the L250Ti (104H mids instead of LE5-11s, and 044Tis tweeters instead of 044s) should I update my crossover to the 250Ti design?

    Edits:

Is it worth recapping the bypass caps, too?

I've already reviewed this thread: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...0Ti-Crossovers, showing photos of the two boards, and gotten hi-res versions from the kind OP.

    Thanks!

Have you checked your other thread? There's a couple of posts linking to the L250 schematic there.

And pretty sure there are threads here discussing upgrading the L250 to the 250ti.

    Edit, sorry, wasn't your thread

Ah, I missed those replies. (Forgot to subscribe to that thread.) Thank you, Jeff!

Yes, after posting here I found one of those, basically saying you should upgrade the crossover at the same time as the components.

    Thanks!

OK, I think I’m seeing (per speaker):

    4 uF (or is it 40?) (x 1)

    10 (x 3)

    7 (x 1)

    3 (x 2)

    Plus bypasses: 0.01 (x 5) and .005 (x 4)

    Right? Thanks.

Does anyone have a higher res copy of the N250 schematic? I can't make out many of the values. Thanks!

Just a bump here; still hoping for a better copy of that schematic. Thanks.

I have a pair of L250 that were recapped. I don't have a better copy of the schematics. Here is a link of pictures. I will double check the values of the caps and get back to you, when I get home this evening.

Oh yeah; I saw that. Thanks so much! I can read most of the caps OK from photos and the schematic, but not all the coils and resistors. I really appreciate it.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. Thank you so much! I think I would skip the pads and just wire it in the 0 dB positions. I would probably skip the bypass caps, too, and upgrade the caps.

While I'm picking your brain here, if I stuck with my stock 250 drivers, instead of switching them to the 250Ti drivers, would it be a good idea to incorporate any of the 250Ti crossover revisions, and if so, which ones?

(At some point here, I'll have to decide whether to keep my 250s with the original with the LE5-11 mids and 044-1 tweeters, or upgrade them to 104Hs and 044Ti-1s.)

OK, I started a new thread here on building some crossovers based on the schematic. Thanks again.
