    2342 Compensation

Has anyone tried the 4430 compesation on this horn?? Looking at the schematics for the 4425/4722 there is no inductor to peak out the response in the last octave. How is that horn above 10K. Can you get output on par with the 2344 with the 4430 compensation??

According to OCS (from my foggy memory) the pair of new SR4722A networks I bought from them included some form of equalization to boost the high freq response on the 2342. They reported there was a nice linear roll off of the 2342/2417hs but without the eq there wasnt much response over 16khz and they were significantly down between around 14 - 16 Khz. I had discussed using some other 1200 hz JBL networks and they strongly dissuaded me due to the eq prob.

    Hi Rob!

I tried the 3124 (4430) networks with my 4425 and it worked in the UHF region! Of course the matching of 2214 and 2342/2416 is not as good but it works.
I think the 3124 (4425) network is cheaper as the 3124/3125 type. Thats why they went that way with the small 4425s.

    Thanks Guido

I figured it might work there too.
