    High tech meets Low tech

My younger brother spent mother's day with us and was bragging with his new "android" thingie.
He insisted on putting music _or at least that's what I guessed the noise was_ through that thing all day.

Finally I got sick and tired to hear music as though it was passed through a HPF set at 6kHz so I took out a 2370 and stuck it in front of it

Not so surprisingly the volume increased substantially enough for him to put volume down a little, bringing the THD level from 50% to about 10%, but also, surprisinly, we could squeeze a little more mid band out of the thing and the music sounded.... well, less worse

That's too funny. One of the kids here puts a small funnel on his phone for music when he runs the diff dyno. It make a substantial difference, still, like you said, sounds like an amplified telephone.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
