I have a pair of 2452H with shifted gaskets: a part of the mouth is covered by the gasket, as well as the screw holes (which is of course less of a problem).
I would like to reset it or even replace it (is there a part number?), but it looks like I cannot unstick it without damage (I tried to use an hair dryer, but the core is very efficient absorbing the heat...). I also have no idea on how the mesh is fixed under the gasket...
Any advice?
On the 2431/35 the gasket holds the mesh in place. So just be careful. I have shifted those but they are a gray rubber material and they just peel right off.I also have no idea on how the mesh is fixed under the gasket...

lift an edge and apply a few drops of anhydrous alcohol in the opening while the driver is on an edge. It will pull off with a little work and you can re-attach it with spray contact cement ( on the gasket only ).
The gasket is available thru parts - on this page are all the "tech" sheets but I don't see a gasket for this one but the 2451 should fit with some trimming.
Although it might be the 2450SL - there are different mounting hole diameters, natch.

If I remove the mesh I will try to do some measurement with and without and see if that makes a difference (Earl Geddes says it does, and without it he is also able to massage the driver/horn transision with clay).
As these 2452 do not have ferrofluid in their gap that would not be a problem to remove the diaphragm once in a while to remove an adventurous bug or spider

Wait until you open up a $7,000 pair of 476Be's and notice that some dumbass put the gaskets on the same way. One forum member sent me a PM asking me WTF was wrong with these people. I could only speculate...
I can understand the gasket can be difficult to align on the 2452, but the 476 and 2450SL look like they have a different metal aligned with the gasket, making it easier to afixe it properly in place.
By the way 4313b, that makes me think that the gasket of the 476Be is waaaay cooler than the 2452/2450SL one!

the mesh sits in a little recess if I remember right and the gasket holds it in with a small overhang. it will be obvious and easy to deal with.
