    how did this happen?

    same SERIAL NUMBER ?

THIS AUCTION IS FOR A PAIR OF JBL JAMES LANSING SOUND SPEAKERS. THEY ARE 15" , 32OHM D-130-B AND HAVE THE SAME, MATCHING SERIAL NUMBER OF 5004 EACH. BOTH SPEAKERS ARE VERY NICE CONDITION WITH ONE EXCEPTION. THERE IS A SMALL APROX 1/2" BREAK/TEAR/HOLE/SLIT IN ONE SPEAKER. I TRIED TO SHOW BUT ITS VERY HARD TO SEE , NOTICE. A SKILLED REPAIR TECH COULD EASILY BLEND THE FIBERS FOR A "UN=NOTICEABLE" REPAIR. THERE IS NO MATERIAL MISSING, ONLY A TEAR WITHIN THE FABRIC/FIBER MATERIAL. BOTH SPEAKERS ARE VERY NICE COSMETICALLY BOTH FRONT AND BACK, THANKS FOR LOOKING , 707HOTDEALS.

i would bet that the person sitting behind the type-writer that day
got distracted for just a second and issued the same number twice...

It doesn't look like the same typewriter... maybe numbers repeat and year is different?
My avatar: 4520 loaded with 2225H on E140 frames,
    1x 2202H on custom front loaded horn, 2x 2426 on 2370.

Any chance that they were both made in April 1950 and it's basically a date code?

THOSE DUAL SERIAL NUMBERS WERE USED ON WOOFERS FOR THE JBL C55 SCOOP HORN ENCLOSER and it was common to give the same serial number..for that design..I have a pair like that..
