I took Friday off, and it hit 72 degrees (F) Friday - amazing for Feb (growing up, I was often snowed in on my birthday!!!)
So with Friday plus the President's Day holiday Monday, we're making a 4 day weekend out of it!
I had a great day, we went out for Dim sum in the morning, moved an old TV out of the media room,
Emma got me some great movies and such, and she cooked lamb chops and rice for me, YUM!
Oh, a chocolate cake with 7 minute frosting was involved - that's a vintage treat too ...
Its whipped egg whites and sugar - kind of a marshmallow/meringue kind of thing ...
and homemade is the best ...
Haven't had one since I was little and mom used to bake them for me -
First time I ever tried - and making it Friday brought back all kinds of memories -
that 7 minute frosting took me back 50+ years!
