Just read through the MikeB Ti10K thread, what a mess! The packing job was definitely hap hazard at best with much of the original packing material missing or damaged. Thankfully MikeB got everything corrected and is enjoying a beautiful set of speakers.

Hopefully my K29800SE's being new will be properly packaged an arrive in good condition. I'm not sure what would be the best course of action if the boxes arrive damaged, reject the shipment outright or unpack and make a claim. Any suggestions???

First off, Congratulations on your purchase!!! I can't wait to hear all about it.

I think with the speakers being new there's very little chance that you'll run into what I ran into. That said, there's clearly not a lot of these laying around at this price (complete with a full factory warranty nonetheless) -- my suggestion is that if there is any damage, accept what's sent and work through Harman to resolve any issues. Surprisingly, once I got in touch with the right folks, they were more than willing to help and the issue was resolved expeditiously. In the end, it was well worth it.

P.S., if it makes you feel better, know that I would have been more than willing to take the gamble again if the timing was a little different.

4430s w/ Truextent beryllium dias when they become available

For the people who have heard all of these and are willing to engage in ranking possibilities ...

The array 800 has years advancements in drivers, crossovers, and horns - how do you think a 4430 w just beryllium match up? Assume, as mentioned above, that maybe you could get away with a l-pad level adjustment, because if you have to buy dias and change the network maybe costs start to weigh against it.

In either case I would crossover (and currently do) the 4430 and array 800 to integrate it into a music and theater system. I do remember reading elsewhere on here that it was thought by someone that the array 800 might have had the smoothest sound of the family. I am not sure whether that means better.

Another question, is harmanaudio limiting an order to 2 speakers max or is that all they have in stock?

I was only able to add two speakers to my cart at a time, must be the ordering limit. You may be able to make two separate orders if you need a greater quantity.

so what is the general opinion of the S5800?

when I heard the high end lineup in Japan, the 4338 left the biggest impression on me in terms of value/dollar, even compared to the E2 and K2(2).....for 14K, the ease and natural state of sound was really something I just wasn't expecting.

for that reason I always assumed a 1400 array with the same MF/HF would be similarly awesome though I only know their sound from the praise here.

I see now the S5800 differs from the 4338 only by two 1200FE's compared to the one 1500FE, wondering if this might be the better sounding/celebrated speaker compared to the 9800SE? If that round about logic makes any sense

    Why ARRY800 specifitions(Frequency Response (-3dB): 55Hz – 40kHz) seems more superior than K2S5800?(Frequency Response (–6dB): 50Hz – 40kHz (Anechoeic)

Well so far so good. I got the 880 this morning. It's in what looks like an unopened original shipping box. I have to take it out to look it over but at least some of the clearance speakers are shipping in their original shipping boxes.

I'm very excited for you! Now you can have three Arrays across the front. Very cool!
