K2 S5800 and K2 S9800SE on sale

You know, if I was currently living in the house I thought I had some chance of dying/retiring in, I would have a really, really hard time resisting this.

For now the only one within semi-reach for me would be the 800, and while I really like the concept of it, I have never really been pleased with a sub/sat system for music and doubt the 8" would cut it for me.

I also find it entertaining they classify a 30" tall speaker as a bookshelf speaker. I thought the E50/S38 as a "bookshelf" was a reach.

Has anyone else purchased the Array 880 Center?? I received a tracking number this morning so I have one on the way. They seem to have dropped out of the sale so I am wondering how many they might have had up for grabs in the first place??

Lol well I don't live in Detroit, nobody really does. Just a suburb, no different than suburb anywhere else imho. However I've found that when you say you are from Detroit people tend to sort of leave you be, which is nice. I'm also armed and a very light sleeper, so I think my odds are pretty good. Got more a chance of going in a car crash, I think.

My real point was that I'm pretty far away from the point of spending that amount of cash on speakers. Gotta have something to look forward to.

Thanks. Yes indeed it does, It certainly is a major investment but it's been a long time coming. My last JBL purchase was in 1979 a pair of L220 Oracles. These (9800SE) will fit in the same footprint as the L220's. Just got the order confirmation, I'm excited..
