    Neoprene for XPL Series

    Hello,

Anyone know of a source for the neoprene material used to cover the baffles on the XPL Series loudspeakers?

    Hey Giskard

Let me know if you are going to take the plunge?? I have been considering that for the fronts on my 4344's. Figure it couldn't hurt to try it around the 10 and behind the H94 serpentine.

    Neoprene

Hey guys, you might take a look at Mc Master-Carr. They have a wide range of neoprene and foams both with and without psa backing. They are also a bit less expensive. Go to their web site and do a search for "neoprene sheet" you will find quite a variety of sizes and thicknesses.

    Hey Rob,

I have a roll of psa backed foam that is more open celled. It is very similar to the material JBL die cut to ring the Century L-100 tweeters. If you would like some of it to go behind your lenses send me a PM.

this is an old thread, but it looks like the best place to share this good info:

We over molded the wood with the urethane and then they went so far as to put a layer of neoprene around the tweeter area so they actually had a three layer face with progressively more density. They were called the XPL speakers and were their top of the line product at the time and were sold mainly in Japan.
