    BMWCCA Birthday

Although he won't reveal his age, it's the Bimmer Boy's birthday today! Phil is 58 I think.

Hope someone is nice to you today. Here's a BMW with a less powerful engine than yours.

    Thanks.

Just got back from watching the Virginia girls trample the Tech girls in B-ball.

    All's good so far today!

I'm cranking this CD I suggested to y'all yesterday but it probably got lost in the "what's playing now" thread:

    Lee Ritenour's 6 String Theory

Caught a brief mention of this over on AK and liked the concept. The quality of the playing and recording is really impressive on most of the cuts. I'd say if you enjoy the Clapton "Crossroads Guitar Festival" kind of mix 'em up sets, you'll find something to like here.

I'm pretty sure they didn't master it on JBL 4345s though because I have to turn down the low-end output of the bi-amp crossover due to over-saturation of the bass sometimes. With several different bass players, that problem is variable. Tal is okay (sometimes loud) and Nathan East is, as always, superb. Found some new guitar players I wasn't familiar with and will have to investigate. That's always the fun part of a new album.

It's also available in a Monster Music HD Surround Sound 2-disc set at some BB stores.

Family just got home in the middle of Jerry Douglas' solo on Alison Krauss Live. I'll sneak the volume up as the evening progresses.
