Hello robert_1 and welcome aboard and stick around.

I’ve been a JBL Control 5 user now for 19 years, wow 19 years.

Link to JBL professional and Control 5, so you’ll find some useful technical information here
    http://www.jblpro.com/catalog/general/ProductFamily.aspx?FId=67&MId=2

Link to my thread that is wall to wall with JBL Control 5 and Control 1

Got any snow in Dublin tonight?

How much did you pay for them? In the UK the lowest price is around £105.00 pounds from Future Projections UK cinema supplier.

Awesome pictures you SUCK! Where in the blazes did you get a pair of JBL Control 5 Plus, those things are very rare as they are no longer in production.

Yeah I need to go to specsavers and get my eyes seen to? I posted the wrong link. Hold on I think I know where to look…BUGGER!

I can’t find the sodden pdf file!?

Off the top of my head I think Control 5 Plus is 180watts sensitivity 90db frequency response, hold on a sec…got and old JBL Control series broacher here in front of me that I was talking about last year I think.

    Frequency 45Hz to 20Khz
    Power 180watts
    Sensitivity 89db
    Impedance 4 ohms
    Crossover 2KHz

    8 inch bass mid
    2 inch titanium dome tweeter

The Control 5 with a larger bass driver. More bass for critical listening applications.

What’s the conduction of the edge foam surround on them like?

WTF! Just took another gander at them and YOU SUCK! Edge rubber surround if my eyes aren’t playing tricks with me YOU SUCK! If you sale I’ll come over there and beat you up. Keep them they are very rare and hard to come by.

I was just looking at the JBL Control 5, series booklet and I know the placement of the port and tweeter are relocated into a different position.

Why didn’t JBL make them as a mirror type model with the ports on the left and side for the right speaker and right and side for left speaker?

But with the JBL Control 5 Plus there mirrored!

Note the differences with the tweeter setting on the Control 5 here. This is my living room.
They are totally opposite t what the Control 5 Plus is. I’d like to get my paws on three boxes!

Enclosure was knocked for under £50.00 pounds the spray paint was around £20 or £30 pounds, ten years ago Sub only coast £100.00 pounds in naff shameless enclosure that had silly port hole ½ inch in size!Yeah it means business it goes plenty loud enough.

Yeah hold on to them. It’s not likely you’d come by those everyday there not as common as control 5, same goes for the control 10 and 12SR rare.

Your lucky to have come by those JBL control 5 Plus. I like the blue on the rotary spring JBL badge yes it rotates around so if the speaker is on its side or upside down the badge can be turned around.

Also I just noticed the lens or plastic shield that protects the tweeter is different to the control 5.
    “it’s a rare thing.”

I'll stick my foot up his ass!

This is type of rubbish that gives eBay a bad name.

He was thinning of flogging them off at £80 euro, I hate Euro!

Okay so he was, hmm, then why hasn’t been back on the site and made another post announcing.(I’ve decided to sale the JBL control 5 plus.)

    This is bs.

I bet if you brought them you’d most likely get a few cheap on printing paper pictures!

So far 0 bids and I wouldn’t bid 1p for them because that is rough cost of cheap photocopying paper from Happy Shopper.

LOL well so far with 2 hours left and hardly any placed bids I’d be surprised if they did sale at the last few seconds.

    I’m surprised it acutely sold.
