L110's are on and humping and bumping 6 days/wk, 10 hrs/day for the past three years. All different music sources, p/c and tv audio, too. Rarely have I heard one pair of speakers that I have enjoyed more. Granted, I have not heard ALL of the speakers made, and I know there are some outstanding models available, but in the end between these two choices, for me actually listening to them, I prefer the L110.
Now if you are buying them to strip and flip...

I own a pair of each, there both good speakers. But for the money,I'd go for the L110's.

I like the L65's when up to spec. I've owned them both. So as you can see it's best to let "Your" ears decide. I don't think there's a hands down winner here.
I own L-65s.
Therefore, it is with some qualification that I can heartily recommend that you get the L110s.
L-65 is a pleasant speaker. But considering the level of components, it's my opinion that the system underperforms expectations a bit. I do enjoy mine for bedroom listening, and the design is, to my aesthetic sense, rather attractive--they make nice end tables.
L-110s are often considered an "overperformer."
IIRC, L110s can usually be had for quite a bit less money. If I wanted a pair for listening and nothing else (i.e., not as end tables, not for parting out to make money, not to modify as a 'project'), I'd go that route.
Both systems are enjoyable. Good luck!
Keep the L65. You never get them back, and it is the best choice.
The L65's are one of my favorite JBL's and they sound ok to good but the L110's sound excellent in my opinion.
