    JBL 4311B Comparable Today

    Hi,

I own a pair of JBL 4311B and have 2 questions. First, does anyone remember the list price of these when they were new? Even a ballpark number? I just don't remember. Second, what would be considered a comparable product in today’s market? Something that is great for rock music with similar qualities to the monitors I own.

    Thanks in advance!
    -Bill

Well for the same $350 you could have owned these....

You would be hard pressed to find anything in todays market that would match these vintage JBL's for that price.... although you have a looksy here.... http://www.audioadvisor.com/products.asp?dept=58

Why not own a piece of JBL history if you are looking for another pair....

Personally, I'd redirect and buy Item RERS3 for $597.5, as it looks like she also comes with a free pair of Rega loudspeakers

Thanks for the great feedback. I do own a pair of the classic JBL 4311B's and love them. But I would like to buy some "new" stereo speakers that are of similar quality and characteristics as these JBL's with price not being an issue. Any thoughts on a great sound and nice looking pair that fits that bill? Thanks again!

If cost is no object, then some very cool stuff can be imported from Japan.

I've been unable to find 1400s in that range. Got any leads to 'em?
