    Need help IDing these horns....very cool

    Hi All, I've seen butt-cheeks since forever, but never really thought about them much less heard them. But, on another audio site, one of the members has this pic and his avitar and now I am drooling.

    What horns are these and does this stack make sense? Thanks.

    Looks to be 2344, 2342 and 2404, in ascending order. As to it making sense...

    Top 2404 tweeter

    2342, about 9" x 9" x 1" throat

    2344, about 12" x 12" x 1" throat

    left out was my favorite the 2360, about 31" x 31" x 2" throat.

    Except for them all being butt cheeks, no sense at all. I own all except the 2360 and I'm trying to figure out how to levitate them from California to Florida now.

    I don't think it's a real photograph, the scaling is off.

    A 2404 is 5.1/8" wide, the 2342 is just under 8.3/4" and the 2344 is a full 12.1/2". Looking at the picture the 2404 is not more than half the width of the horn under it so it can't be the 2342, and if it is the 2344, the horn under it cannot be the 2360 at 32". Must be that 2348 1.5" throat 18"X18" horn I've been dreaming of making.

    Here's a shot of the full system;

    Supposedly horns are made from concrete. You can read more about them here.

    Have to know where the crossover points are. Nice horns The JBL horns 2342/2344 basically cover almost the same bandwidth except the 2344 can go about an octave lower.

    If that really is a real picture then the bottom horn is not a 2344. By scale I would say the center is a 2344 if that is a 2404 on top. Here is a 2344 / 2342 / 2404 stack and a 2344 / 2404. The bottom horn is not a 2360.

    I would say, no, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

    For the most part, the two larger horns are replicating each other. Maybe (probably) its addressed through the crossover, but why add another needless crossover point to complicate/screw things up?
