20 miles for my 4340's about 20 years ago, cheated with the 250ti's had craters and freighter pack them and bring them to me. Atlanta to Keen NH and back was going to kill me. Best $650.00 ever spent, speakers arrived mint and they even helped me unpack them.

Ps. The price for the speakers was not so kind sill I love them.
Well why not it's just one more pair...
4340's and 250ti's what an odd pair...

3986 miles round trip, and I have another one like that coming up shortly. I love to drive. Approaching 350K on my 92 GMC pickup. If I were to add all of my JBL trips, the total would be just over 10,000 and the next trip will put me over 14,000.

I live in Md burbs of DC. I drove to Tenn to pick up to 250Ti and 2 120tis. I have driven to Alabama for my b460.

I have delivered (left overs )to my friend in KC.

Went to Syracuse for another set of 120tis

If I cant pick them up I probably won't buy, too many shipping horrors
Changing to Legacy Audio and started with a Silver Screen HD for my center between the 250TIs

    HuMMMMM,

Lets see-dedicated trips for JBL runs only

Balto. to Chicago (twice)-Hartsfields both times

Balto to St Louis (scooped the JBL Dawg there) many years ago though-two Paragons

Balto to New York (twice) Hartsfields

Balto to Philly-not much of a trip but that was for the industrial Paragon and a cheese steak

I know there has been others but those are pretty much are the longer trips.

Oldmics (whatta got and where is it?)

    Roadtrip!!

Southern NH to Atlanta GA (2200 miles round trip). Solo trip in a blizzard to pick up my 4333A monitors. Snowbound in Virginia for 36 hours, returned home a day late for work, it's snowing sideways outside right now and I'm ready to do it again for anything horn loaded with 15" woofers!!

    Roadtrip!!

A few months ago I picked up a pair of 4331A's less than 100 miles away, but they have since grown into another pair of 4333's. (sorry, I just can't control myself..)

Well some of us are JBL Nut's....opps.... Fanatics

    7 trips to visit a Kentucky scrapper for getting 14 x 4645B's,4x 2360-2446J, 12 x 15" 2235's; 18 8340 Surrounds, 22 JBL 8340's, 2 BGW 750B's, and finally 5 BGW 250E's at 4 hour round trip at 150 miles each way

Hey what can I say the guy keeps scrapping theaters; and I get the pick of the litter.
He's working on a set of deals where we'll get the picks out of 19 theater's in 2011.

Newburgh Indiana > Cleveland to deliver a complete Denon setup with 4 pairs of L100T's and a 4645B at 385 miles each way > in a 19 hour 1 day ordeal.

8 trips to get 8 different pairs of JBL Decades (L19's, L26's,L-36's, L100T's, 4312's, L110's, L200's) over the last 8 years, each at about 5 to 100 miles each way.

When my wife hears "JBL road trip" she just rolls her eyes anymore. BTW no more Decade road trips as I've gone to all theater based equipment.

In one "scrapping" trip as I got 4 4645B's I also got 2 NOS 4645B's which I kept and are now upstairs. Apparently the theater bought them, left them in their factory boxes pushed up behind a stage, and then went out of business. Opened them up and they were in perfect shape>>brand new!!. Stuff like that warms a JBL fanatic's heart! Not much of a business plan for a theater owner though.
    Integra DHC80.1,3x 4636LF, 2360-2446J 2404H,12 x 8340 Surrounds, 2 x4645B, BGW 250D's,250E's,& 750B's 16 amps...7600 watts

What do you do with all that stuff?

I'm assuming you can't use most of it and have to store it.

Drove from Paterson, NJ to Fredericksburg, VA for a pair of $50 L-65As that are now my bedroom speakers.

Rented a truck and drove to South Gibson, PA from Paterson, NJ for my $500 4345 pair (twice, because they wouldn't fit in the vehicle I drove the first time).

    Don't regret either.

    Especially not that second trip.

Wouldn't happen to be from Steve H., would they?
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers
