In 1987 I traveled to Myer Emco's Falls Church, VA store to purchase my 240Ti's. Round trip was 24.4 miles.
I'm STILL recovering from that one!

4.5 miles for a pair of 4345's. Who knew that real gems were just under your nose?

Central Virginia to Boston for my L5s, but I was picking my daughter up at school in upstate NY at the time so really only 400 miles out of the way but 1400 total.
Central Virginia to Connecticut for my 4345s, but I was dropping the same daughter off at a friend's in NJ at the time. About 960 miles by the route I chose . . . in the snow.
L7s three houses down the road. Google puts it at 1.6 miles round-trip.
L112s new from the local dealer 30 years ago was a round-trip of about 15 miles and they haven't been moved since!
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers
San Jose to Portland for a pair of empty L200B Boxes, stopped at Monmouth (I think) on the way back to pick up a 4660. About 1,370 miles total, did it in 27hrs with a 3hr nap at the Medford Wallmart. Stupidest thing I think I've ever done. The L200B Boxes weren't as clean as I'd been lead to believe, and the 4660 was, well, a 4660. Never again - at least for anything less than a really clean set of 43xx monitors.
OTOH, swung up to Stockton (90mi each way) the week before last to the guys at Quicksilver Audio to pick up some woofers and test enclosures, as well as listen to their fully horn loaded system - pure pleasure, mainly due to the great new acquaintances and their excellent sounding tubes. I'd do that again just to hang out and listen to well recorded music.
Drove from detroit to Litiz PA Twice
Once for 8 BMF 600 monitors (2225 2441 (2) 2402)
Once for 22 original diaphragm 2441's
Detroit to New Jersey for a set of 4550's and a pair of Community Levi's
TOO FUN!!!
I flew from Christchurch, New Zealand to Los Angeles to pick up a bunch of 128's, Le5's and 044's. Does that count?
I drove to Columbus, Ohio from Peoria, Illinois to pick up a pair of 4345s. It would have been twice as far, but Subwoof was kind enough to meet me half way. 352 miles each way.
On the way back I did stop in Decatur, Illinois to pick up a pair of eBay snared Control 10s. If anyone has some grills for them to spare, let me know.

For a pair of LSR12p subwoofers that were priced right.
I needed a road trip anyway. It was a very nice picturesque area I drove to. It was secluded valley on the side of a mountain.
