L300 SUMMIT CABINET WAX or VARNISH

    Hello

I believe the L300 was finished with an oil finish, but if it wasn't then it was a lacquer based finish. Here is JBL's recommendation for both types of finish: http://www.lansingheritage.org/html/...ral/finish.htm

    Brochure claims hand-rubbed oiled walnut:

". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

I have always done this on my Walnut JBL's. First apply good oil, after abut 20 minuets wipe off with a soft cloth. Let it dry. The day after I have used a good (expensive) wax to the cabinet, and they looks like new. I does this ones a year.
