Unhappy Empire’s director Irvin Kershner passes away

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-11862557

A bit late as I just found out, that Star Wars director, Irvin Kershner passed away late of last week.

The Empire Strikes Back was and still is my favourite Star Wars film its darker its got faster moves going for it and real cracking surprise
    No, I’m you’re father.

    Nooooooooo.

Robocop2 is my second best out of his work its zany with dark black humour in bloody way great sound enttainment for JBL loudspeakers. But Empire is by the son of bitch for showing of the force with JBL.

RIP second Jedi master director Irvin Kershner (1923 – 2010).

Found a nice tribute to the director.

I agree, those were two great films. Best of the Star Wars franchise by far. It occurs to me that I don't know anything about the man other than his work.

I think its down to style of the director directing his cast for a particular style. A lot of people agree Empire is the best because the budget was slightly higher over low budget episode IV STAR WARS to pushing the limits further with Empire.

The asteroid sequence thou short it is for the effects moments its still a complex moment or finalized music and sound mixing at its best that must and had audiences gob-smacked for months (how in the world did they do that). Making of Empire revealed all and even audio commentary on CAV THX laserdisc by Ken Ralston of ILM.
