8 OHM Diaphragm

I had this question asked me by someone I was showing my new 806 horns to. they are 16 Ohm. If you install an 8 OHM diaphragm, are they now 8 OHMs? As far as I can tell, they should be.

The diaphram impedance will determine the driver impedance.
