JBL 2206H drivers and 2402 Bullet tweeter

Just wanted an opinion on these units as Im considering building my own speakers.
I think the crossover frequency is to high on the tweeter to be used with the driver?
Or what would you suggest for a 3 way active system easch speaker in its own enclosure?

    Hi Dave ,

2206 is not great for Low F , 45 htz ... 95 db ... Would work great with something below it . You could tune the box and use room gain to get some more at the bottom end . I would not use the 2402 in a 2-way . You could use a 2425 or another 1" and horn combo as a 2 way or add the 2402 for a 3-way.
Try doing a search on Zilch, he has tried just about every combo in 2-ways .

I think Scorpio uses the 2206 and so does Demon . Search their posts too !

    Good luck , Rich

For home use I would use a 2425 or 2426 driving a 2342 or 2344 horn. And then a subwoofer or two.

For PA same driver on a 2370 horn.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
