    Century Gold active biamping

    Hello,

For anyone interested, I have modeled the recommended biamp curves from the system information thread using winISD Pro so it can be reproduced with an active crossover.

    hope this helps

Thank you so much for your help. I have been talking with Pos today about the project of bi-amping my Century Gold. Good idea to publish these results here.
I'm still surprised about the huge differences between the passive and the active crossover given by JBL!

    You're welcome

The acoustic curves show a crossover point at 600Hz, but if you look at the votlage drive of the passive crossover it is quite similar to the active one:

So you may well end up with a 600Hz 18db/oct crossover point when adding the natural response of the drivers

Thank you for your explanations. It's a lot easier to understand the JBL technical documentation knowing that.
Now it's time for me to try that in reality .
