    Need Help with 1971 Vintage Custom JBL Speakers

    I hope some here can help me. I am trying to identify part of a custom speaker that I have. The picture is included below.

    Crossover

    That high-frequency crossover is driving an 075 tweeter there. It's probably an N7000. There'll be a label on the back of it telling you for sure. You're four screws away from knowing....

    Unfortunately, the four screws are the easy part, around the outside of the unit, they are sealed by some epoxy i believe. thanks for the info.

    Noodle this:

    Standard installation seal is a vinyl plastic "noodle" gasket behind the mounting flange, which may appear to be caulking when compressed over time.

    If they actually DID glue it in, you might get a mirror up behind it from the woofer mounting hole to read the label....
