    Anyone Tried an SB-2?

The local Salvation Army has an SB-2 (no satallites) for the sum of $40 (could probably be had for less). I'm thinking that with a couple sats I have lying around, this could work well for the garage without taking up too much space.

I know that the SB-2 uses a dual V/C 10" woofer and a passive crossover to the sats. Does anyone have any experience with the SB-2? Does anyone know which woofer is used? Also does anyone know what edge the woofer uses? (Am I in for a refoam?)

    Thanks

Looks like the front panel (which forms the slot?) should come off fairly easily,
    relinquishing it's secret.

Guessing a foam surround..., as it claims to be a long-throw driver, and not
suitable for outdoors. Good news is it was unlikely to ever see sunlight, which
could help it to survive, even in LA air.

for $40 or less for some boom in the garage, what's to lose if it is foam?
a few more bucks and an hour
