New member - Altec A7 VOTT question

New member here, hope this question is not out of line, not trying to spam or sell here. I have a pair of A7 speakers for sale and I'm wondering how much they may be worth. I have researched extensively on craigslist and ebay with inconclusive results as far as value of these particular speakers.

These are in the enclosed cabinet 42"H x 30"W x 24"D. They have been in the family since the 60s when my dad bought them and covered the cabinets with veneer and grill cloth. Other than that they are original equipment. Component specs are 416A, 806A, 811B, N-800-D. Nearest I can figure they are approximately 1966 vintage. Not 100% sure about the year. My dad purchased them in 1967 or 1968 and I have owned them since 1990.

They sound as beautiful now as they ever did. The cones are in excellent condition. I don't really want to sell them, but I need to.

Hoping someone here is knowledgeable of value and information regarding these speakers.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris

Thank you, AB. Doing some reading at Hostboard/Altec-users board looks like according to serial #s my speakers are 1966 models.

    Thanks again,

    Chris
I think the real issue here is finding a local buyer, or one with a strong desire for your particular offering...

local buyer is likely better, due to shipping considerations

hopefully, you find a buyer with excessive desire, we'll just call it lust....
    for your speakers...

if it does not pan out, as far as offers hitting what you need to make,
selling the units as complete units..... maybe parting them out would
be another option to reach your goal.

the OEM VOTT cabinets do not draw all that much interest from all I have
paid attention to... unless they are exceptionally rare variants...
perhaps the veneer job raises them to this status, i dunno?!?

well taken pictures of the cabinets and each component will likely help your cause.
