    50 isn't fatal, is it???

Thank you very much gentlemen, I appreciate the kind words! Ti, haven't had much to post lately that and I've been very busy. However, my birthday present to myself is a very nice pair of Altec 848a Flamenco's in a beautiful dark walnut finish! The grills take a bit of getting used to however. Good thing I have a man room! Serial numbers are not on the back but the 416-16Z woofers were made in the 32nd week of 1970, the 806 drivers in the 36th week of 1970! Isn't 1970 a bit late for 16 ohm drivers? Anyway, cabinets are virtually flawless and the drivers are box stock. They sound excellent with my re-built Scott 299c integrated tube amp! I will post some pics next week.

Hey Wolf, gonna be in your neck of the woods tomorrow. Going to Depoe Bay to visit the folks for a few days. Thought I had a couple vintage receivers sold in the Medford and Eugene area but that kinda fell through. Know anyone in need of a very nice and serviced Marantz 2220b or a professionally restored Pioneer SX-828? I got bit by the tube bug!

Take care all and thanks again!

Yeah, talked to my Mom today and she said it's been beautiful all week but, this weekend, not so much! Oh well, just going to see the folks, done all the tourist stuff before. We may make it to the Evergreen Air Museum in McMinnville, at least the IMAX theater. They are showing a NASA doc. mainly on the Hubble Telescope, should be very interesting. May hit a winery or two, my wife is into that. Me, I could spend a few hours in The Rouge Brewery and call it good!
If I do make it up further north, I will be sure to look you up.

    Take care,

    Mark

If you have trouble finding the place , its the one with a Boeing 747 on the roof ...

they've also got an SR-71 ....heck..going to McMinnville you pass SM casino...we always stop there ..not for the gambling, but the outstanding $15 buffet dinner.

    Hey Oz.....

I think you are out of internet access at Depoe Bay , but hope you make it up to Lincoln City..

Friday and Saturday night they have Eric Burdon and the Animals in concert with tickets starting at $10

The VA released me late Friday and we couldnt make it Saturday...if I had a little more advance notice, we'd have made the show and then come visit you...Would have loved to see EB...hope you made it.

British electric bluesman, Eric Burdon and the Animals are set to invade the showroom stage at Chinook Winds Casino Resort on September 17 and 18 as a part of Surf City Weekend.
