Anyone know of a place to pick up some of these at a reasnonable cost. An untimely brown out just sent several of mine to tweeter heaven! Please let me know!

IIRC, there's a person in NY that sells these on ebay almost continuously...

    Are these JBL specific?

As I gain my new education from my audiofile friend, I have discovered what I never really thought about. Most mfgrs, at least these days, don't build their own drivers. If they aren't propreitary I might have a source.

did you try google on "JBL 053Ti" ?

    http://earsnyc.com/ears_order2.htm

    http://www.speakerrepair.com/mm5/mer...JBL-Diaphragms

Then there is ebay somewhere in between.

Ti diaphragm with Aquaplas coating? If they're made by someone else, they're
appear to be made specifically for JBL and fit in behind their EOS waveguide.

I would guess they are not like the Audax units used in some of home JBL stuff,
or the BMS-related/partnered dome/ring-radiator stuff that made it's way in to the pro line.

Of course, they are your monitors, and you can stuff whatever you like in there.

Yes, of course I tried google. I called EARSNYC this morning. The person who picked up the phone said they hadn't updated their page in "6 years" and the tweeters are now $135 a piece. I've seen the ones on ebay too, just wasn't sure if there was a better place to get them... so I thought I'd check in here as obviously many of the contributors are true experts in the JBL parts field!

Yes, and I was curious if anyone had any success with less expensive tweeters in the LSR28P cabinet... I would definitely be interested in other alternatives to try too.
