    JBL 2105 Fs doesn't match factory specs.

    I just purchased a Dayton WT3 woofer tester and have been testing some of my JBL speakers. They all seem to match the factory specs 'fairly' closely except for my two 2105. With the 2105 I get the following result;
    Fs=346
    Re=5.78
    Qms=2.95
    Qes=1.29
    Le=1.70

    I thought the 2105 had an Fs of 200 Hz? I have two 2105's and they were a pretty good match to each other.

    using WT2 with a few used 2105-ish drivers:

    2105H #1 -> 247Hz
    2105H #2 -> 250Hz
    LE5-9 #1 -> vc rub (doh!)
    LE5-9 #2 -> 209Hz
    LE5-2 (very worn/weathered) was more like 300Hz,
    but I just tested it because it was near the table (could be a poor sample).

    I checked 3 using a WT2 as well. 2 Le-5-2 and a 2105H, only the 80's recone LE-5 was close at 225 the others were 300 and 325.

    When drivers sit around not getting used much their suspensions will stiffen up a bit sometimes.

    Play them for awhile and retest them!

    A friend has a frequency generator. I will run it for a while and retest.

    Thanks again.
