I first came upon this site in 2000. At the time, the K2-S9800 was under development and was meant to be JBL's first statement speaker in neary a decade. I emailed JBL with the link and broke the bad news that they had been trumped. There was obviously no point in JBL continuing with their asperations to build the highest level loudspeaker ever when they could not hope to compete with the mighty TMK-R5500 in "Flower Style". I still remember Greg Timber's succinct seven word reply: "I think I'm going to be sick."
